Beneath The Surface

Nature changes, and so do we.

’Beneath The Surface’ explores my connection to nature and plants. They remain a constant source of comfort and inspiration, particularly since my mother passed away. Whenever I paint landscapes or flowers, I feel a strong pull to the memories of my mother, to my home in NZ and to the comfort I found in the natural world during my childhood and when I was grieving.

I want to capture the dualities of life—growth and decay, strength and fragility—and show the lasting impact that nature has had on my personal journey.

The collection captures spontaneity, where colour combinations and textures collide, instinctive and celebrating the act of creation itself of what I see, feel, and sense.
