BOLD IMPRESSIONS Solo Art Exhibition
'BOLD IMPRESSIONS'
Journey through the landscape
@theoldbank.dungarvan Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland
Originally from New Zealand, the award-winning London-based artist Luana Asiata draws comparisons between her home and Ireland in her latest exhibition Bold Impressions. The exhibition invites viewers to embark on a visual journey through a series of bold and captivating pieces inspired by the Irish landscape in her husband’s hometown of Dungarvan, Waterford.
Ireland is similar to her native New Zealand in landscape and community spirit that it feels like she's back home. Dungarvan, in particular, stands as a beacon of personal connection. Rooted in the history of her husband's family, it is not merely a geographical location but a place that resonates with familial ties and cherished moments.
Year after year, we find solace and joy in returning to Dungarvan, immersing ourselves in the embrace of family and the serene beauty of the outdoors.
Collaborating with Louise Ryan of Sunfleck, guests were be able to enjoy an immersive experience connecting with the natural world indoors and a shared belief in the power of nature for wellbeing support.
This exhibition is a celebration of life, colour, community spirit and energy.
Huge thanks to our generous sponsors JNWines and Dungarvan Brewery for keeping everyone hydrated.
Our guests enjoyed a Cremant de Loire sparkling wine, made from the indigenous Loire grape Chenin Blanc with the process mirroring that of Champagne production. A bottle exclusively made for JN Wines and a bespoke label designed by Northern Ireland artist Kathryn Callaghan.
We also had real Irish craft beer on offer courtesy of Dungarvan Brewery, guests sampled Greenway Waterford Pale Ale, a refreshing pale ale bursting with citrus flavours and a satisfying bitter finish.
The collaborative efforts with local businesses such as 'The Old Bank' for providing a stunning venue, 'David Walsh' for art supplies, Pat at 'Dreoilin Glass' for framing my canvases, Printmasters for my flyers, Louise Ryan at Sunfleck for bringing nature indoors with her lovely plants, 'JN Wines' and ‘Dungarvan Brewery’ for sponsoring the event, this highlights the significance of community support in making artistic endeavors come to life.
This collaboration not only enriches my artistic journey but also contributes to the vibrant cultural exchange within the community.
Thank you again for a fun evening of fine art and community spirit.
